IT has been a busy summer for Running Forever Running Club with lots of popular local events being hosted.
Back at the end of August five members took on the Baltonsborough 5 miler, a route described as undulating which is runner code for hilly bits.
Georgina Brice our centurion Marathon runner has now chalked off Marathon 148,149,150 and 151. She took part in the Plym Trail 2 day event, Andover Trail Marathon, the Queens Memorial marathon and the Dragons Eye marathon. At this rate won`t be long before she has achieved 200 Marathons.
The club held its annual Run to the Seaside which started at Bishops Lydeard and ended at Blue Anchor. The route just being short of 29 miles. Club members enjoyed some tea and cake en route before catching the train home.
A contingent of members ventured to Cornwall to partake in the Eden Project Parkrun, a very hilly and technical course, again tea and cake was enjoyed at the end.
If you are interested in joining an inclusive club, membership costs either £27.00 a year for EA registered members (this includes the £17 registration fee which is passed directly to EA) or £10.00 a year for non-registered members, and runs from 1st April to 31st March each year.
