A local business owner has been busy climbing his way to second in the British Rallycross Championship over two events in the past few weeks.
Nick Priddy of Somerset Automotive competes in the RX150 British Rallycross championship and at the end of August he took to Pembrey race circuit in Wales.
He drove in some challenging weather conditions over the weekend which saw several drivers end up in the barriers ending their hopes for victory.
Nick however put in a fantastic performance throughout the whole weekend culminating in his first win of the season.
The championship the moved to The Netherlands this weekend, the next event was held at the famous Valkenswaard circuit.
The RX150 line up saw some of the best racing drivers in European racing take to the grid, including some professional racing drivers.
Nick however was daunted by his opponents and repeatedly recorded second and third results during the practice sessions and heats.
For the final Nick made a great start before getting in to a tangle with one of the other racing drivers pushing him further back and out of the podium places, which was a disappointing way to finish a promising weekend.
Nick remains second in the overall RX150 British Rallycross championship with one race to go a Lydden Hill in Kent in November.
