THE sport of Pickleball in Taunton continues to go from strength to strength.
The supportive and welcoming group, set up by Sylvia Jackson, is the only group in this area where you can learn the exciting new game of Pickleball.
This sport, which has taken America by storm, but is also gaining popularity in this country, is a mixture between tennis, badminton and table tennis.
Played with a paddle and a polymer ball, this game is easily picked up and is especially good for seniors to encourage them to get active, and it is a great way to meet new friends.
The group plays at Blackbrook Sports Centre, Taunton, every Saturday for 2 hours at 1pm, although the sessions are so popular they are thinking of adding a midweek session also.
Sylvia Jackson said: "You will receive a warm welcome, no experience necessary, training is given and all equipment is provided.
"We look forward to seeing you at our group!"
Booking is essential so please contact Sylvia.jackson929@gmail.com in the first instance. It is £5 per session.
