BEN Gudzelak has been selected as captain of the England Men’s Senior GB Padel Team at the World Championships.
Hailing from Crowscombe, Somerset, Gudzelak will lead England at the competition held in La Nucia from April 15-21.
He joined the local M&E consultancy firm BJP Consulting, based in Stratton-on-the-Fosse, at the turn of the new year, but away from work he is a Padel pro.
He said: "It is a real honour to be asked to fulfil this role."
He has been asked to carry out with his friend and team mate Nick Holloway and the pair know each other well from their time playing together in Huddersfield back in 2014.
Gudzelak moved to Croscombe, Somerset at the end of 2021 and is now an Ambassador of the Rocket Padel club in Bristol and promoter of Slazenger.
You can find him on court training or practicing at Rocket a few evenings a week. Teams comprise of a pair from 5 age groups (over 35s, over 40s, over 45s, over 50s and over 55s) competing against countries from around the world.
The standard is very high and competition will be fierce with everything to play for and Ben and Nick will ensure everyone gives their best effort for Team GB.
