POLICE have clocked two cars speeding at over 100mph on the M5 in Somerset today (Wednesday, June 15).
And a van was recorded almost reaching a ton up.
Avon and Somerset Police roads policing unit has tweeted images of the three offences.
The fastest car was being driven at 112mph - that's 42mph over the national speed limit - equivalent to 60 per cent above the limit.
Another car was caught travelling at 102mph.
And the van was not far behind at 98mph.
The unit tweeted: "We often start a shift then go straight out to a collision on the motorway.
"Speed will directly affect the injury outcome so we need to get speeds down because we're going to continue to have collisions."
