Another weekend of baseball saw both Taunton sides share the spoils.
Both teams witnessed action, with the Muskets travelling for a skirmish with the Bristol Buccaneers.
While the Pistols played against the debut team Cornish Pioneers.
Both games in the South West and Wales Baseball League.
In a riveting first game, the Muskets rose to victory against the Buccaneers with an 11-10 win, while in the second encounter, they suffered a blow losing 10-3.
Back at home, the Pistols were defeated 21-3 in their first game with the Pioneers but rebounded heroically to win their first competitive game 15-7 in the second round.
The victory has proven significant for the Pistols, as it came in only their fourth competitive game.
The Pistols' second game showcased considerable improvement, capitalising on a lapse in the Pioneers' pitching and amassing an overwhelming 15 runs over 4 innings.
This was a notable team effort with at least one run scored by all the nine starters, eight of them recording an RBI (runs batted in).
The weekend results leaves them last with a 1-3 record in the Wessex division.
In Bristol, the Muskets battled the Buccaneers.
The initial game was filled with errors, yet the Muskets managed to rally in the 4th, scoring 5 points and bringing the game to a 10-10 tie.
Fumihito Yasuhara seized the opportunity on a wild pitch, bringing the visitors into the lead and culminating the game with a victory for the Muskets.
The following game showcased the Muskets struggling against a faster pitcher resulting in a 10-3 loss for the Taunton side.
Assistant manager for the Pistols, Sam White said: "We're delighted to get our first win, especially so early in the season, as it shows we can compete in this league."
He expressed his assurance in the team’s good blend of experience and enthusiasm anticipating an enjoyable summer of baseball.
The Tricky Cider MVP awards had several suitable candidates across the two Taunton teams, but was given to João Serrano from the Pistols and Fumihito Yasuhara from the Muskets.
Serrano earned the accolade for his two strikeouts, closing the Pistols win and Yasuhara for his instrumental runs safeguarding the win in game one.
The South West and Wales Baseball League season continues, featuring the Muskets hosting Cardiff Merlins A, while the Pistols travel to Weston to take on the Jets.
