It was a footballing first and second in the opening race at Taunton Raceourse this week.
Meatloaf, co-owned by Manchester United legend Sir Alex Ferguson just had enough juice in the legs to defeat Recoup in second, who is co-owned by former West Ham and Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp.
Taunton jockey Ella Herbison produced a miracle ride to record her first win under rules at Perth on Wednesday.
Ella, 21, had enjoyed success in point-to-point but her success on Monty Searle over hurdles and fences was a remarkable achievement, as she somehow stayed on board after the horse made a blunder at the penultimate jump.
Commentator Darren Owen exclaimed: "Ella Herbison first class performance.! You owe her a drink for staying on Monty Searle."
RacingTV described it as "absolutely incredible" and “a contender for ride of the season?”
