TAUNTON School year 11 students "danced the night away" at prom, arriving in all manner of glamorous motors.

The event was held at Hestercombe Gardens, near Taunton, on Monday, June 24.

Taunton School said in a post: "Our Year 11s had a fantastic time at their prom last night, dancing the night away and enjoying delicious homemade pizza.

"The perfect way to celebrate the end of their school years and all the hard work they've put in.

"Thank you to the beautiful Hestercombe Gardens for hosting us!"

Students took the opportunity to make a grand entrance, including one student who rode in on a horse.

Another student arrived via tractor, while a group of year 11s were towed in on a trailer hitched to a Landrover.

Several classic and luxury cars also arrived to drop off the youngsters as they celebrated the end of their GCSE years and their move into sixth form.

The students enjoyed an outdoor soiree with their proud parents before moving inside to make use of the venue's photo booth and dancefloor.
