Taunton & Pickeridge held a yellow-ball Stableford in good conditions on Saturday when 28 teams of four took to the course.

Topping the leaderboard was the quartet of Kieran Hector, Russ Symons, Chris Doyle and Bill Maginn.

Their total of 153 points won them the trophy by a single point, with Duncan Farrow, Chris Patterson, Pete Snell and Phil Jones taking the runners-up spot.

Wednesday’s Stableford competition was played in tricky conditions, with wind and rain making scoring difficult.

However senior member Brian Ahern tamed the course, shooting a very respectable 38 points, with Kobe Adams returning 36 points to secure second place.

On Tuesday the ladies’ section ran a “3 clubs and a putter” competition. Carol Keenan won the silver division after scoring 34 points, with Jill Paul taking second place on 33.

Judy Powell and Gill Jowett were the top scoring players in the bronze division.
