FOUR girls from Minehead Barbarians have been selected to play rugby for the county following trials at Yatton RFC last weekend.
With a total of 69 players attending the trials on the Friday the competition was fierce.
For the U-15s No8 Hannah Delbridge, full-back Gabby Gower and winger Beth Wyatt have been selected.
Sunday saw the trials for the U-18s side and Holly Jones-Bartlett was selected despite being only 15 and one of the youngest in the group. Holly will be playing at No8.
The selection of the girls follows on from the success of last season which saw more and more young girls from across West Somerset become members of the club as the season went on.
The club now has dedicated U-13, U-15 and U-18 squads and more players are wanted.
