HYDRO Harrier Andy White achieved a landmark 50th Parkrun at the latest Longrun Meadow event, coming home in 16th position in 21m 6s.
The winner was his son Sam who timed 18m 27s.
Clubmate Brian Pearson finished in 42nd place in a time of 23m 12s while Rowland Lyons competed further afield at the Valentines, Ilford event, completing the course in 145th position (from 192) in a time of 34m 49s.
Harrier Andy White was in action last Sunday at the Boscombe 10k in Bournemouth, putting in a great performance to finish in 91st place out of 530 runners and crossing the line in 43m 21s.
THE pick of Taunton Running Club’s entrants at Longrun Meadow was Geoff White who timed 24m 43s.
Beverley Osborne ran 32m 48s and Lynne Adams 36m 05s.
The club enjoyed a large turnout for their first half marathon training sesson on Sunday – a slow run of seven miles which all runners dealt with comfortably.
