SOMERSET'S director of cricket, Brian Rose, sympathises with the frustrations felt by a number of the club's younger players.
The likes of Matt Wood, John Francis, Arul Suppiah, Wes Durston and Carl Gazzard have found it tough to break into a strong first team, and Rose said he has been in contact with the club's talented youngsters about their future.
Rose said: "Players who would expect to be playing first team cricket are not, which is frustrating for them. They're under contract, but there isn't anywhere for them to go.
"At the end of each season people have to assess their own personal situations, and I've been talking to them along with other players, and will assess things towards the end of the season."
