VIVARY Golf Club's Ladies took advantage of the much-improved weather to hold their Greensome competition against the Seniors.
The event was enjoyed by all and was followed by a super buffet lunch.
Team winners were:
1. Dale Knight & David Hawkins (45 points); 2. Janet Vick & Pete Jeffery (41); 3. Di Squance & Colin Woodford (34).
Vivary Ladies’ friendly practice sessions, taking place on Friday mornings (9.30-10.15am), have been a success.
New members, beginners and those wishing to improve their game are all welcome to join Vivary’s small and friendly group of ladies, who enjoy a good social side to their golf.

TAUNTON & Pickeridge Golf Club held its Golf Foundation Medal on Saturday, when all players kindly donated to the organisation that supports junior golf development.
In Division 1 it was, appropriately, junior captain Bailey Langford who was the winner, but only after countback edged him ahead of second-placed George Lee and Malcolm Lawrence, who was third, after all of them returned with nett 68.
Tim Nuttall, with 66, was the winner in the second division, and Andy Berry was second on 68, but only after countback put him ahead of Jon White.
It was another close run thing at the top of the third flight, with two players carding 70, but after countback it was Peter Cooke who pipped Bill Maginn, while Phil Painter was third with 71.
The Sunday Stableford was won by Martin Evans with 35 points, as Dave Swindell grabbed second place on countback ahead of Michael Brunton after both scored 34.
Last Saturday’s Tony Bond Memorial 4BBB was won by Paul Laming and Mike Liddle, also on countback, ahead of Ollie Yarde and Ian James after both pairs scored 44 points, with Chris Coxon and Simon Foster third on 43.
On Tuesday T&P Ladies played in a Foursomes Stableford, at the end of which it was Corinne Lyon and Berni Hatcher with 38 points, who were the winners,.
Ali McGown and Lennox Heath were second with 36 while Mary Guy and Anna Rees claimed third with 34.
The 9-hole individual Stableford was won by Jean Kennedy with 16 points and Ann Williams was second with 15 points.
Bailey Langford continued his winning streak when he claimed the honours in Monday’s Junior Club Night competition.
Playing off the white tees, he returned with 39 points, one ahead of Dillon Watts with 38, Kyle Miller was third with 37, Freddie Elgin fourth on 35 and Charlie Hooper fifth with 33.
As a result of his recent success, Langford has had his handicap reduced to five.

AT Oake Manor Golf Club, Harry Wagstaff won the Andy Parker Medal on Saturday, May 5, scoring an incredible nett 64.
Jack Malden was second in Division 1 with nett 67, Ricky Selway third with nett 69 and Paul Flay fourth on nett 70.
Darren Blows won Division 2 with nett 66, with the next three all on nett 70; on countback Roger Goodman was second, Neil Watson third and John Ashton fourth.
Stuart Coleman clinched the Sunday Stableford with 35 points, Mark Tydings was second with 34 points, Mathew Bright third on 33 points and Martin Thorne fourth, also on 33 points.
Past club captain Nigel Jackson won Division 1 of the Tuesday Stableford scoring 35 points, Dave Hollow came second, also on 35, and Clive Thorne (33) was third.
Club captain Roy Sully won Division 2 with 33 points, John Littlewood was second with 31 points, and Graham Pitt third with 30 points.
Lena Holland won the Ladies Silver Street Motors Trophy on Sunday by scoring 33 points.
Rosemary Webber was second with 29 points, Suzanne Reed third, also on 29 points, and Pat Snellings fourth with 28 points.
