ONE Somerset and England spinner had the opportunity to pass on his wisdom to another at Lord's yesterday as Vic Marks presented Dom Bess with his first Test cap.
Bess scored five as England collapsed to 184 all out but later impressed during his first over with the ball and will hope to have an impact on day two.

The England Cricket Twitter feed has now released the video of what Marks said to Bess, which touched on the pride felt back in Devon and Somerset and why the 20-year-old should just "keep doing what he's been doing."
Marks also wished luck to Jos Buttler, making his first Test appearance since December 2016 - see the full video below.
