TAUNTON Town have announced three pre-season friendly matches, as well as a change to ticket prices for next season.
The Peacocks will travel to face Western League side Willand Rovers on Friday, July 13 (ko tbc), before hosting a Plymouth Argyle XI on Tuesday, July 24 (ko 7.45pm) and then a Bristol City XI onMonday, August 6 (ko 7.45pm).
Further friendlies are due to be announced soon, as Taunton prepare for life in the league above - Evo-Stik Southern League South - after winning promotion this campaign.
Having revealed a new badge, the club is also increasing admission for next season, with adult admission rising from £8 to £10, concessions from £6 to £8, and Under-18s from £3 to £5.
Entry for Under-14s remains free.
Chairman Kevin Sturmey told the club website: "As we plan for the new season, inevitably finance will be high on the agenda.
"Each season we will need to raise more money to be competitive at whatever level we reach.
"No one at the Viridor Stadium, especially me, wants us to be an OK team in an OK league.
"We want to be competing in the top part but we must also continue to be sustainable.
"A new league will mean more cost, with longer travel times, and therefore we will need to budget carefully, but also invest in our players and the Viridor Stadium.
"The last two seasons have been an incredible ride but £3,000 for winning the West Division won’t go very far."
Sturmey added that the club only benefited by £6.67 from each £8 adult admission last season, the rest being VAT, so the club decided to increase the price, so Taunton will earn £8.33 from each £10 admission.
He also encourages Peacocks fans to buy a season ticket once they go on sale on June 1, to benefit from a discount of £54 for adults, £48 for concessions and £25 for Under-18s.
