SOMERSET off-spinner Dom Bess did enough in England's first Test against Pakistan to keep his place in the squad for the second Test, which begins this Friday at Headingley.
Bess did not claim any wickets, in conditions that were not conducive to turn, but he did score 57 in England's second innings, pairing up with ex-Somerset man Jos Buttler (67) to prevent an innings defeat.
Pakistan's nine-wicket win at Lord's has, nonetheless, has prompted one change for the second Test, with Keaton Jennings coming in for Mark Stoneman.
Stoneman only managed 13 runs in his two innings against Pakistan, whereas Jennings is averaging 43.79 for Lancashire in the County Championship this season, with two centuries.
Again there is no place for Somerset's James Hildreth, despite him averaging 64.00 from four matches this season.
England squad: Alastair Cook, Keaton Jennings, Dawid Malan, Joe Root (c), Jonny Bairstow (wk), Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler, Chris Woakes, Mark Wood, Stuart Broad, James Anderson, Dom Bess.
