Somerset County League Premier Division: Taunton Blackbrook 0, Timsbury Athletic 3 PROMOTED Blackbrook suffered a disappointing start to the season as they conceded three without reply at home to Timsbury.
The hosts had their chances to go in front with Chris Curtis blasting a shot at the Timsbury keeper and Alex Pounde sending an effort just wide after a jinking run.
Blackrook also had a penalty appeal turned down before the visitors broke the deadlock from the penalty spot after Gary Sealey had been penalised for a foul.
After the break, Pounde had a goal ruled out for off-side before Timsbury doubled their lead on 68 minutes, taking advantage after Blackbrook failed to clear the ball.
The visitors made it 3-0 soon after and, to rub salt into their wounds, Blackbrook had a second goal ruled out for off-side, this time Chris Woon was denied.
Blackbrook travel to face Mangotsfield Reserves on Saturday.
