AFTER 2019 saw Bishop’s Hull enjoy a finals appearance at the Cooper Associates County Ground, the club are hoping silverware and a promotion will be on the cards for 2020.
The club is returning from the Christmas break with a series of winter nets, and encouraging keen cricketers to come along.
As well as a showing at the home of Somerset CCC, the first team also made the final of the West Somerset Cricket League Cup, and the second XI battled it out at the top of Division 5.
Tom Sargent, who is taking over the reins as captain of the second team for 2020, said: “This season’s aim is again to make another push for promotion back up to Division 4, having narrowly missed out last season.
“We will also be reintroducing the Sunday XI with the view of ensuring a game for all, whether it is on the Saturday or the Sunday.”
The Bishop’s Hull winter nets are for all members, as well as any newcomers.
They will run at Castle School between 5-6pm on March 22, 29 and April 5.
