TAUNTON Town supporters and sponsors have joined forces to raise £1,000 and help star striker Andrew Neal return to action as soon as possible.
A scan last week revealed Neal, who has scored 22 goals for the Peacocks this season, has torn his meniscus in his knee and will be out of action for "the immediate future".
The club set up a crowd-funder to try and raise money for private surgery, in order to speed up Neal's recovery and help him return to action for the vital run-in to the 2019/20 season, and the £1,000 target has now been met - click here for more information or to donate.
Town sit fourth, in the play-off places, following Saturday's 2-1 win at Swindon Supermarine.
