AFTER last weekend's false start, club cricketers will hope for a more fruitful return to action tomorrow.
Recreational cricket leagues were given the go-ahead to start on July 25, only for the wet weather to quite literally rain on their parade.
The only match to reach a result in the West of England Premier League's 'Covid Groups' C and D was that between Ilminster and Bridgwater 2nd XI, with the latter side winning by 22 runs.
Tomorrow brings a Taunton derby in Covid Group C, as Taunton host Taunton Deane at Gipsy Lane.
Elsewhere, Taunton St Andrews entertain Bridgwater, Wembdon host Wellington and Minehead go to Weston-super-Mare.
In Group D, Bridgwater 2nds are at home to Taunton St Andrews 2nds, Chard host Shapwick & Polden, North Perrott entertain Street and Staplegrove face Ilminster.
Weather permitting, all matches are scheduled to start at 12.30pm.
