SOMERSET travel to the Kia Oval to take on Surrey in Division One of the LV= Insurance County Championship.
Play is scheduled to get underway at 11am today (Thursday April 20th).
It will be another tough challenge for Somerset, as Surrey currently sit top of the Division One table after the opening two fixtures; Somerset sit in bottom place.
It will also be the battle of the Overton twins as the pair face off against each other for the first time. Both of whom are coming off career best figures.
The last time the two sides met in red-ball cricket was at the Kia Oval in July 2021. The match ended in a draw.
Somerset welcome back Tom Banton and Josh Davey, but are without Lewis Gregory (stiff back).
The 13-man Somerset squad for this match is: Tom Abell (c), Tom Banton, Jack Brooks, Josh Davey, Steve Davies, Ben Green, James Hildreth, Tom Lammonby, Jack Leach, Craig Overton, Matt Renshaw, Peter Siddle and Roelof van der Merwe.
After last weeks defeat at home to Essex, head coach Jason Kerr said: "We will do whatever we can to turn it around.
"The players need to take responsibility, that is the challenge, we cant go out there and do it for them.
"But the accountability inevitably lies with myself, if you want to look at it like that then it is my responsibility."
He said on the bowlers: “Craig Overton led the attack brilliantly and Peter Siddle demonstrated what a quality performer he is while being incredibly unlucky.
