THE constitution for the Vanarama National League South for the 2023-24 season has been confirmed following the release of the National League System club allocations by the FA earlier today.
Taunton Town will be joined next season by Yeovil Town, Torquay United and Maidstone United who were all relegated from the National League Premier while Weston-super-Mare and Truro City renew acquaintances following their promotion from the Southern League Premier South and Aveley also make the step up after their success in the Isthmian League Play-Offs.
Due to Maidstone’s southern location this caused Bishop’s Stortford to switch divisions to the National League North.
It now means the National League South will be a very South West based division next season.
In the Toolstation Western League Premier last season’s Division One runners-up Nailsea & Tickenham will be joined by fellow promoted sides Oldland Abbotonians, Brixham and St Blazey
Keynsham have been relegated while Sherborne switched to Wessex in a 19-team league.
