Counties 1 Tribute Western West: St Ives 24-3 Wiveliscombe
WIVELISCOMBE made the long trip to deepest Cornwall at the weekend where they were well beaten by a strong St Ives side.
The visitors found the home team to be a well organised unit and after being promoted last season are lying in fourth position in the Tribute one Western Counties West league.
This was clear on the pitch as St Ives were dominant in attack and strong in defence and the scoreline of 24-3 sums up the affair well.
The defeat leaves Wiveliscombe one off the bottom after three games and are looking to field a settled side in the weeks to come.
Wiveliscombe's 2nd XV game at home against Tor was cancelled after a referee was not available for the match which will be rearranged for a later date.
Up next for Wiveliscombe RFC Firsts is a home match against Pirates Amateurs on Saturday, September 23. Kick off is 3pm.
