A TRAMPOLINIST from Somerset has been selected to represent Great Britain at a global gymnastics competition.
Laura Gallagher will once again rep for Team GB, this time at the FIG Trampoline, DMT and Tumbling World Championships.
The former Olympian is just one of eight trampolinists selected for the competition, which will take place on home soil later this year.
Laura, from Westonzoyland, has trained for over two decades with the Quayside Trampoline Gymnastics Club in Bridgwater.
After competing at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, Laura will return to the world trampolining stage at Birmingham’s Utilita Arena from November 9 to 19.
The team consists of a total 24 British gymnasts across trampolining, DMT (double mini trampoline), and tumbling, who will compete against over 100 world class athletes from over 50 countries across the globe.
Sarah Powell, CEO of British Gymnastics, said: “We are thrilled to be sending an experienced, supportive and talented team to the FIG World Championships this year.
"These gymnasts embody the spirit of the British Gymnastics vision, and we hope each athlete enjoys the experience of representing their country doing a sport they love.
"Good luck to everyone heading to Birmingham in November – from gymnasts to coaches, support staff and families – we are all right behind you!”
