Counties 1 Tribute Western West: Plymstock Albion Oaks 31-19 Wiveliscombe
Wiveliscombe made the trip to Plymouth to play unbeaten Plymstock Albion who are in top position in the Western Counties West league at the weekend,
Coming in to the game, Wiveliscombe were yet to win a game losing their first five matches though it must be said all the scores have been quite close.
Plymstock were probably hoping to win by a considerable margin but Wivey made the home team work hard for the victory and the game turned out to be a well contested.
Elsewhere, Wiveliscombe Seconds were victorious 39-34 over Noth Petherton Seconds at the weekend.
Wivey secured their first league victory of the season in this Somerset three South match played on the Wivey Rec.
The teams were well matched and there was never more than a few points separating them throughout the game.
Tries for the home team came from eye catching fullback James Canfield, Elliott Derek's, and winger Bertie Eyres who cross for two tries late in the game to secure the victory.
Fly half Ben Luxton had an excellent day with his kicking with two conversions and five penalties.
