Regional 2 Tribute South West: Crediton 26-12 Wellington
WELLINGTON Chiefs suffered a defeat away from home at the weekend in the Regional Two Tribute South West.
The Chiefs went down 26-12 against Crediton, failing to build on two successive wins coming into this match.
From the outset it was clear it would be a good game of rugby with the two sides next to eachother on the league table.
The hosts took an early advantage with a converted try before the Chiefs pulled it back from a Cam Venn try, converted by Daniel Trick.
But Crediton were in front at the break thanks to another converted try, 14-7.
Captain Danny Lee crossed for an unconverted try in the second half to pull it closer but that was all for Wellington as Crediton ran in two more tries to seal the victory.
Up next for Wellington Chiefs is a home match against fifth placed Topsham on Saturday, October 14.
