Tribute South West Regional Two: Wellington Chiefs 25-27 Crediton
Wellington Chiefs pushed second-placed Crediton for the entire match on Saturday but were ultimately beaten narrowly at home.
The match in the Tribute South West Regional Two finished 25-27 at the Athletic Ground on Saturday afternoon.
Crediton led 12-5 early on after Corey Jenkinson scored for the Chiefs early on. The home side equalised when Cam Venn forced his way over for a try, which was converted by Jonny Clist.
Before half time though, Crediton regained their lead and looked like they would go in to the break in front, however Venn put the Chiefs back on terms with an incredible 95-metre run to make it 17 all.
Tom Owen went over for a try, converted by Clist early in the second half but it was cancelled out by a Crediton try shortly after.
However late on in the game, Ollie Price received a harsh yellow card and was joined in the sin bin by Jenkinson before the visitors went over for their match-winning try.
