Wellington AFC have announced their second major signing in quick succession.
Central defender Kieran Bailey joins the Tangerines on dual registration with Westbury United of the Southern League and goes straight into the squad for the important home game v Oldland Abbotonians on Saturday.
He moved to the Wiltshire club in December having been with their Southern League rivals Willand Rovers since the summer of 2021.
Bailey made more than 75 appearances for Willand and was their captain last season. He previously played for Shepton Mallet and Chard Town.
Assistant player-coach Jack Bown Porter said: “Kieran will bring experience and presence to the team and can play in various formations.
“He is a dominating and physical defender and is keen to help us.”
Last week, Wellington announced that highly rated keeper Jake Viney was rejoining the club.
Viney left Bridgwater United before Christmas, having played more than 300 games for them over eight years.
