Counties 1 Tribute Western West: Tavistock 7-24 Wiveliscombe
Wiveliscombe strengthened their position in ninth place in the Western Counties West league with this bonus point victory over Tavistock who had won the encounter at Wivey earlier in the season 19pts 37pts back in October.
Wiveliscombe have now won their last three league games and will be striving to add another two or three more victories to consolidate their position in the Western Counties West league for next season.
Scrumhalf Richard Baker is in great form at the moment and he crossed for two tries with centre Will Thorne adding one. Winger Dan Rottenbury crossed for Wivey's fourth bonus point try late in the game. Flyhalf Dan Quick added two conversions to secure an excellent win.
Elsewhere, Wiveliscombe seconds had to work hard to secure their fourth victory of the season in the Somerset Three South League against their opponents from East Somerset.
Both teams struggled for continuity but Wivey's two tries were well constructed with the first being scored winger Tom Caughey after a good threes move and the second coming from Flyhalf Jake Woodward following a period of pressure from the home forwards near the visitors try line.
Crewkerne had several opportunities throughout the game but a stubborn home defence limited them to just one try from Hamisn McDermot which was converted by Ollie Singleton.
