Somerset Division One: Minehead 0-4 Peasedown Miners Welfare
Minehead AFC were on the receiving end of a heavy defeat at the weekend at home against Peasedown Miners Welfare.
The match in the Uhlsport Somerset County Division One finished 0-4 in favour of the visitors as they were far too strong.
With the visitors “at it from the start” Minehead failed to recover from being three down at half-time, and though they seemed to be competing evenly with Peasedown for the opening quarter of an hour of the second half, with top scorer Lewis Wheeler completing his hat-trick to make it 4-0 mid way through the half the game was over for The Blues.
The Blues now face three away games on the bounce, the first being on Saturday when they visit Westfield, who have only managed one victory since early September.
During that period, the Radstock based side who are just one place behind them in the league table, have scored just five times in sixteen matches.
Minehead: Adam “Vinnie” Jones, Martyn Phillips, Harry Perren, Luke Badcock, Ryan Wilkins, Charlie Purvis, Stefan Phillips, Hubi Wejnerowski, Rob Vickers, Guy Burns, Alfie Lyons
Subs: Sam Jackson Louis Burge, Oliver Jones (All Used)
