Oake Manor Golfers have been blessed with a mild break in the otherwise wintery weather and therefore managed to play some competitions.
Dave Hill won division 1 of the Saturday Stableford Competition scoring 36 points, Nathaniel Pepperell came second with 35 points and Martin Adams was third also with 35 points. Martin Evans won division 2 with 38 points, the best score of the day. Roland Phillips was second with 36 points and Eamon Leigh came third with 35 points.
Matthew Bright won the Sunday Stableford Competition scoring 38 points, Stuart Coleman came second with 37 points and Jonathan Owen was third with 36 points.
The Seniors Section played a 3 Ball Bowmaker Competition on Monday, the wining team with 77 points were Michael Speed, David Matthews and Mike Robbins. Second with 75 points were Glyn Pearce, Chris Mann and Tony Staple while in third place with 74 points were Nicholas Mitchell, Michael Latham and Colin Shepherd.
On Tuesday the Ladies played a 9 hole Bogey Competition, in division 1 the first 3 ladies all scored -2 but on count back Amanda Mather came first, Karen Grabham was second and Ladies Captain Pam Kinnear was third. Ros Shepherd won division 2 with a score of zero the best score of the day, Sue Corlett came second with -1 and Karen Potter was third also with -1.
In the Wednesday Midweek Stableford Competition John Wall was first with 34 points, Glyn Pearce came second with 30 points and Michael Bright was third with 27 points.
