Tribute South West Regional Two: Wellington Chiefs 10-24 Truro
WELLINGTON Chiefs fought hard but were ultimately defeated at the weekend in their match at home against Truro.
The match in the Tribute South West Regional Two ended 10-24 in favour of the travelling Truro as Wellington were just off the mark.
It was a difficult match in tricky conditions against the Cornish visitors at the Athletic Ground as Wellington were looking to build on their recent victory last time out.
Handling was always difficult and by the half time break Truro were in front 4-15 with Phillips scoring the sole try for the hosts.
In the second half, Truro went over first and this was replied to by a second try of the day for Phillips however the visitors were able to push on and wrap up the win.
The result means the Chiefs are ninth in the table, and next up is a home match against Newton Abbot at the Athletic Ground.
