Counties 2 Tribute Somerset: Huish Tigers 17-10 Oldfield Old Boys
HUISH Tigers RFC returned to winning form at the weekend as they defeated Oldfield Old Boys at home.
The match in the Counties 2 Tribute Somerset division finished 17-10 in the Tigers favour as they were narrowly better than their opponents Oldfield.
A brace of tries from Lee Powell in what was his first home appearance for Huish was what gave the hosts an advantage and then the final try came from Lewis Parker.
What made Parker's try special was that it was his 20th for the club and takes him over 100 point milestone for Huish.
The club congratulated him on the achievement: "Massive congrats to Lewis Parker, scoring his 20th try for the club and reaching 100 points."
The win takes Huish Tigers to eighth place in the league table with 32 points from their 18 games so far.
Up next they host Hornets RFC Seconds on Saturday, March 2nd. This will be a tough challenge as Hornets are currently in fourth spot and pushing for a higher finish.
