TAUNTON Town's home match against Slough Town scheduled to be played this evening has been postponed.
More rain over the past few days in Taunton has resulted in the pitch still being unplayable and waterlogged in parts.
The club confirmed the news on social media. A spokesperson said: "This evening’s Vanarama National League South game with Slough Town at Wordsworth Drive has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch following an inspection this morning.

"A rearranged date for the fixture will be announced in due course. Any tickets already purchased will be valid for the new date but if a refund is required, please email support@fanbaseclub.com"
This is now the fifth home game in a row that has been postponed for the Peacocks.
It leaves in a difficult position with 16 games left to play before the end of April and at present their fixture schedule from now until then is very, very congested.
