Counties 4 Tribute Somerset South: Yatton II 10-59 Wyvern
WYVERN Rugby Club capped off a truly impressive league campaign at the weekend with another very convincing win.
They defeated Yatton Seconds away from home on Saturday to put the lid on a title winning campaign.
However, saying they won the Counties 4 Tribute Somerset South division would be an understatement.
The Wyvern side were 34 league points ahead of the team in second place as they went the whole campaign undefeated. They played 17 games, won 17 and were also awarded a walkover to make it 18 from 18.
The team averaged 52.94 points per game in the season, scoring 953 points and conceding only 140. If that walkover was a game played, based on averages, they would have hit 1000 points for the campaign.
A spokesperson from the club said: "Congratulations to the squad who have finished top of Counties 4 Tribute Somerset South.
They have done so with a perfect record, winning 17 matches and having one walkover, giving them 90 points. Well done to everyone involved."
