BISHOPS Lydeard Youth U13s clinched a remarkable victory when they beat Middlezoy Mustangs in the TDYFL Cup Final at Taunton Town’s Wordsworth Drive on Sunday.
They overcame Middlezoy 5-3 with a display of exceptional teamwork and skill and goals from Jack Bishop, Darcy McCormick (2) and Jo McGill (2) plus a Player of the Match performance from Alex Seaton.
The team showcased their unity on the field, seamlessly coordinating passes and strategic plays throughout the game. Each player's individual skill was evident as they manoeuvred past opponents and capitalised on scoring opportunities.
Their cohesive effort and determination propelled them to victory, securing a well-deserved win.
Afterwards coach Carl Salter said: The team showed great class and dignity at the final whistle consoling the opposition before being awarded their winners trophies. The whole team made all the parents and all involved at the club very very proud.”
He added: “Thank you to all at Taunton Town for hosting such a memorable morning of football.”
