Somerset residents have attended a free talk about wild swimming safety.
On May 11, residents gathered in sun-drenched French Weir Park to hear Juliette Dickinson advise on how to safely enjoy wild swimming.
Ms Dickinson stressed important rules: never swim alone, ensure warm clothing and a hot drink after swimming, and always know your entrance and exit points.
The talk, organised by the Friends of French Weir Park, aimed to prepare community members for the monthly swim sessions due to start on June 1.
These events, from 10am to 2pm, will take place on the first Saturday of the month from June to September.
Those unable to attend the talk are encouraged to check the Outdoor Swimming Society’s website or join the ‘The Bathing Station’ Facebook page for tips.
