It was a busy week of competition at Taunton and Pickeridge Golf Club.
Brian Trickey triumphed in Wednesday's top division Stableford with 37 points, closely followed by David Parker with 35 points.
Ben Childs and Tony Reed presented impressive identical scores of 33 points, with Childs edging out Reed for third place after countback.
Division Two was led by Pete Copland, who scored 38 points, three points more than Craig Welsher.
Welsher secured second place after countback placed him ahead of Graham Howard; both players had scored 35 points.
Michael Brunton emerged as the winner in Sunday's Stableford with 39 points, while Martyn Alison and Paul Deal came in second and third, with 38 and 37 points respectively.
The week also saw the women's section compete in the Barlow Cup, a stableford qualifier for the County Championships.
Stephanie Bristow and Hilary Parker found themselves in a close competition with both players achieving a score of 36 points.
However, following countback, Bristow came out on top, with Jane Martin-Scott and Jan Hill claiming third and fourth places.
The Division Two winner was Carolynne Fawcett, finishing with a score of 36 points.
Lady Captain Emma Smith followed closely with 35 points, while Annie George and Barbara Barber finished third and fourth respectively.
The T&P Seniors had an away game at Burnham and Berrow on Tuesday, battling against a tough course being prepped for the upcoming Open Qualifier.
Despite the challenging conditions, the team only managed to draw one out of the six games against the strong home team.
In Monday’s Junior Golf Night 18 hole Pro Am Qualifier, Morgan Couch emerged victorious with 35 points, ahead of Joseph Tutcher with 34 and George Hutchings with 33.
Lastly, Taunton and Pickeridge Golf Club sent out a reminder for junior golfers to sign up for the T&P Junior Open 18 and 9 hole competition taking place on Sunday, June 9, 2024.
