Taunton Town FC have continued to bolster their squad this week ahead of the 2024/25 season taking their number of summer signings to 12.
Having already made seven signings before this week Taunton Town have now added five more players to the squad who they hope will help The Peacocks gain promotion back to the National League South.
Defenders Ryan Crouch and Ollie Woodhouse, and midfielders Charlie Dashfield, Harris Feltham, and Alfie Moulden have all signed their names to play at Wordsworth Drive next season.
Centre-half Crouch has signed from Cribbs where last season he was much of the reason for their defensive success as they kept 26 clean sheets in 38 league games.
Woodhouse will be lining up alongside Crouch in the Peacock back line and joins Taunton off the back of a campaign for Bristol Manor Farm that saw him win their Supporter’s Player of the Season.
22-year-old Moulden was the earliest of the five signings to join the club and comes from local side Tiverton Town.
The young midfielder is an exciting talent who already has experience playing in the Somerset area having spent time at Tiverton Town, Ilminster Town, Willand Rovers, and Weston-super-Mare AFC.
He will be joined in midfield by another fellow youngster Dashfield and attacking midfielder Feltham.
Dashfield and Feltham also join from Cribbs FC as Luffman continues to improve his squad with players he knows and trusts.
Despite being only 20 years of age Dashfield has plenty of game knowledge thank to his 100 plus appearances for the Bristol side and was also a key figure in the Cribbs’ Hellenic League winning campaign in 2022/23.
Fletham also has plenty of experience having played for National League side Eastleigh, Cymru Premier league team Cardiff MET, before he joined Cribbs last season where he netted 12 goals in all competitions and was nominated for the Southern League Division One South Team Of The Season.
