The Ladies Section at Taunton and Pickeridge Golf Club played for the Hawkes Salver (Division 1) and Hawkes Cup (Division 2) this week.

Jan Hill won the Hawkes Salver with 35 points, two ahead of second placed Jane Ledsham, while Berni Hatcher was third with 32.

The Hawkes Cup was won by Barbara Barber with an impressive score of 40 points, five clear of second placed Claire Hannigan, with Margaret Nation third on 32.

Paddy Farrell was the winner of the recent club medal with nett 65, but only following countback edged him ahead of Alan Shire who returned with the same score.

Craig Welsher was third on countback from Kelvin Oxley after both scored 68.

Michael Brunton was the clear winner in the top division of Sunday's Stableford with 42 points, two ahead of Jon Foster with 40, with Gary Thomas third on countback from Helen Hayward after both scored 38.

Paddy Farrell continued his run of good form and headed Division Two, but only after countback put him ahead of Richard Trueman after both scored 38 points, Andrew Staines was third with 37.

The T&P Seniors have played two home matches in the last week, against Honiton last Thursday and Mendip on Monday, both of which they won by 4 games to 2.

Tony Reeds' Avalon Senior League team are currently top of Senior Division One and through to the quarter finals of the Senior Bowl, so congratulations to all who have been involved.

A few slots are still available for the T&P Mixed Open competition (two ladies and two men) that is taking place on Sunday, June 30.
