Taunton RFC have announced this that they will be retaining a number of key players ahead of the start of the 2024/25 season.
The first to pledge his commitment to the Taunton club for the upcoming campaign was Charlie Williams, who made the announcement on his birthday last Thursday.
Williams has been out with a long-term injury and is excited to get back on the pitch.
He said: "I'm happy to be fit once again and get back to playing for Taunton. I'm Looking forward to playing in front of the loyal Taunton Supporters.”
The next player to commit to Taunton was club stalwart Alex Spurdle.
Spurdle has made a name for himself as a true clubman as has accumulated 169 first XV appearances for this side, scoring himself 14 tries along the way.
Next up is Harry Wright, who had rumours of departing for Australia circulating around him.
However, he has announced he will be staying with the club until just before Christmas.
Wright said: "I'm looking forward to getting to work. We know the task at hand and the mission is to get the club back into Nat 1. I will be looking to contribute as much as I can before moving.”
The most recent of the announcements was the return of versatile back Dan Martin.
Martin impressed during his first season at Veritas Park, scoring 32 points in his 20 caps for the first XV, and will be looking to do so once again in 2024/25.
The four most recent signees join the vast majority of players from the Taunton squad who have decided to stay at the club for the upcoming season.
