Taunton Town Football Club has announced the signing of defender Reece Hedges.
Hedges, another familiar face to first team manager Richard Luffman, joins the club from Cribbs FC and has impressed the Peacocks faithful during his start to pre-season.
Last term proved to be tough for Hedges after a strong start to the campaign suffering a terrible injury which saw him side lined for many months.
Luffman said: “Reece was flying until January last season at my previous club until an unfortunate leg break curtailed his season.
"Reece has every attribute to be a top centre half and we’ll have to be patient with him as he’s still recovering Reece will be a top player for this football club and we’re keen to help him develop. He’s big and strong and a brilliant personality.
"Pre-season has been a bit stop start for him but I have every faith in him when fit to make a big contribution.”
On joining the Club Reece said: “Delighted to be given the opportunity by Luffers to play for this amazing club. Living around the corner in Bristol, I know just how big this club is and the aim is to get it back to where it belongs. I can’t wait to meet you all and put the hard work in to have a great season.”
