The weather put paid to a result in any of the the Taunton St Andrews senior matches on Saturday, however the junior sides enjoyed more success with their fixtures over the last few days.
In the Somerset Under 19 T20 local derby match between Taunton St Andrews and Taunton Deane on Monday evening it was the Saints who claimed the bragging rights.
Batting first at the Wyvern Club the Saints posted 155 for nine, opener Matt Mahoney making 30 while Noah Jones hit 54 retired, while for the visitors Ollie Salt and Josh Nelson claimed three wickets each.
When Deane replied they were bowled out for 112 in 14.2 overs, of which opener Ged Williams-Prichard made 37. For the hosts Marcus Sapiecha ended with three for 40 while Ben Mason claimed two for eight.
In the Somerset Under 16 Smash competition against Bridgwater at the Parks, the Saints posted 193 for three from their 100 balls, of which Jago Barclay and Freddie Woolcott both made 50 retired , and ‘keeper Jack Perry hit an unbeaten 38.
In reply Bridgwater made 163, Harris making 53 retired.
Saints Under 13 Wyverns hosted Taunton Deane Under 13s Tigers in an 11 a side hard ball contest at Bishop Fox’s School, where after being asked to bat the visitors posted 154 for four from their 20 overs.
In reply the home team reached 132 for six in their overs of which Leo Contreras made 29 while Myles Kurton made 33 retired.
Saints Under 11 Wombats team ended their league season in style scoring 350 for two against Staplegrove who made 221 for 10.
On Saturday Saints First XI were against strugglers Lansdown at the Wyvern where batting first the hosts posted 194 for six in a match reduced to 22 overs per side Gabe Gallman-Findlay scoring 55 off 30 balls and Jay Terry 35.
Lansdown had reached 29 for two in four overs when the rain prevented any further play and the match was abandoned.
In Somerset Cricket League Division Seven, Saints B XI hosted Mass CC who after being asked to bat were all out for 167 in 38.3 overs, Thomas Baby top scoring with 34 while Appay Vijayakurup made 32.
Danny Woolcott took four for 20 and Andrew Batstone three for 30.
Saints had reached 88 for one after 12 overs of which Oliver Gunstone made an unbeaten 47 and Woolcott 27 not out when the rain put paid to any further play and the match was drawn.
The matches between Saints Seconds and Taunton Deane Seconds and TSA Third XI at Bishops Hull were both cancelled.
