It's been a busy month with a number of matches for the Gol Access programme with many wins and a few losses.

Most notably they have played in 2 National Junior Golf Knockout fixtures where they have come through both matches with some very close encounters taking them through to the last 8 of 88 teams from across the Country.

The knockout is organised by Brentwood Catholic Childrens Society which is a charity delivering vital mental health and emotional wellbeing services in their local schools.

In the last 32, the team comprising Junior captain Lewis Wickham, Freya Keirl, Henry Lewer and Sienna Elliott they travelled to Royal North Devon, one of the South Wests most challenging courses, however they were victorious with the final score being 4 holes up overall.

This win took them into the final 16 where they were drawn for the 2nd time against Bristol and Clifton - they entered two teams and they have now beaten both of them.

The same team was selected, however injury to Freya meant that Lilia President stepped in once again.

The team were again praised from the host organisers for their talent, etiquette and representation of the club. Although this was a challenge pairing the team came out on top and move into the Quarter Finals, which is a regional final they await the draw to see where and who they will play.

In addition to the national knockout. they are regularly fielding teams in the Somerset League, Bristol & District league and knockout matches. The weekend of the 6th and 7th July saw them field 3 teams comprising 14 different players in 3 different locations consiting Saltford, Burnham & Berrow and Bideford. Taking the win at Royal North Devon and Saltford, and taking 5th spot in the county Somerset jamboree.
