The Taunton and Pickeridge Ladies Open competition that was a team stableford with the best two scores from four to count, attracted 80 entries from across the south west.
At the end of a closely fought contest that saw three teams return with 82 points, the winners on count back were Jane Clist (Oake Manor), Lesley Wills and Lesley Moore (Tickenham) and Jacky Ford (T&P).
Second place went to Jackie Slocombe, Ros Williams, Kelly Foster and Judy Phripp (all Tiverton Golf Club), while third was claimed by Angela Hudd, Wendy Butt, Jackie Walker (all Mendip Spring) and Gail Proctor (Mendip).
The nearest the pin on the 6th was won by Maureen Borer (Sidmouth) and on the 16th June Symonds (Mendip Spring).
The raffle that was held on the day raised £360 towards the clubs charity and thanks go to everyone who bought a ticket and to the volunteer sellers.
Last week the T&P Ladies section enjoyed an away day at Tiverton Golf Club l was attended by 38 members.
At the end of a great day during which there was plenty of fun and laughter the winners of the competition were Lady Captain Emma Smith, Berni Hatcher, Barbara Barber and Sarah Gamble with 81 points.
Second place one point behind was claimed by Jane Martin -Scott, Sue Ensell , Lyn Gridley and Judy Powell with 80 points.
The three Nearest the Pin competitions were won by Lennox Heath , Jan Olive and Linda Brown.
Congratulations to the T&P Ladies team who have won their way through to the semi finals of the Rogers Cup where they will face Enmore Park at Cricket St Thomas on 14th August.
The T&P Seniors are through to their semi final in the Somerset Senior Bowl after beating the Mendip on the 19th hole of the deciding match. The semi takes place next month when they play Cricket St Thomas at Worlebury.
David Killick was the first winner in the Juniors 100 Club Draw who wins a Motocaddy P1 trolley.
