Taunton St Andrews chalked up their sixth WEPL Premier One victory of the season when they proved too strong for their visitors Bristol CC at the Wyvern Club on Saturday afternoon.

After choosing to bat the Saints posted 248 for nine from their 50 overs of which the stand out innings came from Thomas Rew who made 77 from 113 balls which included 11 fours.

During the course of his time at the crease Rew added 102 for the sixth wicket with Toby Williams-Thomas who scored 42.

When Bristol replied they were bowled out for 182 in the 42nd over, Williams-Thomas routing off a good game by taking three for 17.

Saints Seconds made the trip to play Bridgwater Seconds in the Premier Division of the Somerset Cricket League where after being put in made 245 all out in 43.5 overs. 

Top scorer with 75 was opener John Hill while Dominic Court made 38 and Billy Vickery 37. For the Saints Graham Fitt , Justin Burke, Luke Pooole and Dimond all claimed two wickets each.

When the visitors replied Jago Barclay with 28 and Steve Jenkins who hit 29 added 26 for the fifth wicket, after which Jenkins (29) then put on 51 for the seventh with Nathan Dimond who was the top scorer with 34 off 18 balls with five fours and two sixes, before they were all out for 152.

The Saints B XI were involved in a close match  when they hosted Broadway and Horton in SCL Division Seven.

After being asked to bat Saints scored 231 for three in their 40 overs of which Ross Adams made an unbeaten 111 from 109 balls with 20 fours, while Nigel Conreras was not out 55 at just over a run a ball with eight fours, the pair sharing an unbroken partnership of 127.

When the visitors replied they new always close to the rate but in the end fell short by eight runs as they ended on 222 for eight , Danny Graham making 67 off 49 balls with 12 fours.

Pick of the home bowlers was Andrew Batstone who ended with three wickets for 28, while William Neale and Oliver Ginstone took two each.
