Ali McGown and Sarah Gamble were the winners of last week’s Ladies Section Fourball Betterball competition with 44 points.

The annual match between the Juniors and the Seniors took place on Sunday with four pairs from each section playing against each other in a Better ball matchplay format.

Each section fielded a strong team and every match was very keenly contested. In the end however it was all down to the result of the fourth match to determine who was the winner at the end of which it was the Juniors who won The Walker Cup 2.5 to 1.5 retaining the trophy for the second year.

This was a great competition enjoyed by all and played in the true spirit of golf- congratulations to all involved.
