Tuesday was Ladies Captains Day at Taunton and Pickeridge Golf Club and what a great success it turned out to be. Many of the ladies dressed in a Hawaiian Fancy dress, and Pimms and Ice Creams were delivered on the course by Emma Smith the Lady Captain. 

At the end of the day the winners of the Bowmaker competition were Jane Ledsham , Heather Crump and Sarah Gamble.  

Congratulations to Taunton and Pickeridge Ladies who are through to the final of the Rogers Cup competition after beating Enmore Park 6.5-0.5 in the semi final that was played at Cricket St Thomas last week.

The final of the Rogers Cup will be held at Bath Golf Club on the 8th September, their opponent is still to be decided.

Congratulations are also in order to the team of eight T&P Seniors -Tim Paris, John Parsons, Phil Eve, Mike Robinson, Ian Clare, Andy Jones, Chris Hole and Paul Parnham, who entered the Enmore Stags Trophy last week.

Playing against 13 local club teams the T&P Seniors came away victorious with a combined score of 161 points, much to their surprise and delight.

Tony Reed with 62 was the winner in the top division of the Fuller Medal that was played on Saturday, James Poole was second on countback which edged him ahead of third placed Ollie Drummond after both returned to the clubhouse with 65.

Division Two was headed by Keith Welsher with 63. Two players came back with 65 but after countback it was Billy Rooney who was second and Martin Short third.

John Herrington was the clear winner of Division Three with an impressive 61, three clear of a trio of players who carded 64. After countback however it was Harvey Dening who was second, Russell Symons was third and Peter Snell fourth.

The top division of Sunday’s Stableford was won by Josh Hinds with 41 points, Terina Parker was second with 40 and Dan Keitch third on 38.

James Denslow headed the second division with 41 points. However four players came back in with 39 points and had to be separated by countback after which it was Pete Lang who was second, John Crane was third, John Irish was fourth and James Julyan fifth.
