Taunton Town manager Richard Luffman said he was ‘content’ with the 3-3 draw at home to Hanwell on Saturday but admits the side need to improve off the ball.
The Peacocks had to come back from behind twice at the Cygnet Health Care Stadium to get a point and speaking to Peacocks TV after the match he said that the side played some of their best football in the first half despite going in behind.
He said: “We’ve lost the first half 3-2 and its probably the best we’ve played – some of the football was brilliant, we created lots of opportunities and limited them to throw ins and a free kick and they’ve scored three goals.
“That’s probably where the annoyance comes; they’ve scored two second phase from throw ins where we’ve not gone with runners and an unbelievable free kick.”
Luffman said the second half was different due to Hanwell going in to the break 3-2 up.
He added: “We got back to 3-3 and it was hard going after that. I think we put so much energy and enthusiasm into the first 60 minutes to get level that in the end we are probably content with a point.
“We just need to improve our transitional play because we were brilliant on it the ball but a bit suspect off it at times.”
