CURTIS Edwards was the winner of Sunday’s Stableford competition at Taunton and Pickeridge Golf Club with 40 points.

Gareth Eggle was second with 39, Greg Walters was third on 38 and Geoff Dight claimed fourth with 37.

Wednesday’s Stableford was won by Kevin Parker, who returned to the clubhouse with 40 points.

Nigel Gridley was second with 39 points, Geoff Dight was third on 37 and Brian Trickey came back in with 36 which saw him claim fourth place.

On September 8, Taunton and Pickeridge Ladies played in the final of the Somerset County Rogers Cup.

The final of the competition was played at Bath Golf Club and their opponents were Stockwood Vale Golf Club. 

The matches were mixed, with some finishing on the 13th, whist others went to the 17th hole. In the end it was Stockwood Vale who were the winners 5/2 to last year's runners-up Taunton and Pickeridge.

T&P will be hosting The Musgrove Cup Pairs Betterball Stableford on Sunday, September 22. This is a charity fundraising event with all profits going to Musgrove Park Hospital.

The final open competition of the season at T&P is the PEG Smith 36-hole Open on Sunday, September 29.

This is a qualifying individual medal over 36 holes, a Somerset Golf Union Sumara Salver Order of Merit competition.
